"KENUN" Facts #1

According to recent scienticic claims, The dinosaurs DOES NOT EVOLVE into the species we know today. In fact, they just simply gone EXTINCT.

All animals that we know today, existed at the same time as the dinosaurs but due to their relatively smaller size, they survived the mass extinction when the meteorite hit the earth millions of years ago.

Enter the fish pond analogy...

Through my observation whenever the water pump in our fish pond doesn't work, its the biggest fish that died first. This is because the pump does no longer circulate the water which makes the water rich with dissolved oxygen. when this happen, the oxygen level in the pond will start to decrease. The larger fish, which were used to the oxygen rich conditions were the first ones to feel the struggle of oxygen depletion as they need more oxygen to survive.

What the analogy's got to do with dinosaur extinction?

It is officially known that the cause for the mass death of the dinosaurs were caused by the meteorites that hit Planet Earth millions of years ago. These impacts causes the whole atmosphere to be filled with dust and it coveres the earth surface for years. These dust particles block the sun rays from reaching the earth thus making photosintesis something wery hard to do. Without photosintesis, the plants were not able to produce oxygen thus making the oxygen reserve in the atmosphere to decrease. As with the fish pond analogy where the biggest fish died first in the event of oxygen depletion, So does the dinosaurs. The biggest reptiles will die first followed by other big species until, when the dust clears off the sky, all that's left on earth are mammals, birds, insects and also small reptiles.

"KENUN" Facts...

Whenever me and my friends got into arguments about any subject, we will always end up with comparing whose facts are the most accurate.

Well, that kinda gave me an idea to set up a new segment in my Blog whinc I will call the "KENUN" Facts. KENUN ( pron: Known) stands for being in the know of something no mattter of which importance.

in this segment, I will try my best to put in as much interesting facts that I found either through the constant wandering inti the Wonderful World of Web or through my readings elsewhere.

~~I better stop right now before I put more crap inside here~~

Hope to provide you with some KENUN-ness!!! and after this you all can become KENUNs.

Obituary

On January 11, 2009, my Nokia 6290 was announced dead on the operating table of a phone hospital. The official cause of death was damage of the main arteries in the neck area due to a freak accident that happened on December 27 2008. Due to the accident, the phone sufferes loss of visual on bothe of its screen. But apart from that, every other function seemed to have worked well. After 2 weeks of suffering, it was finally sent to a phone hospital where a surgeon repaired it back to its former glory. But, that repair doesn't last long. The next day the same thing happened. Having seen the surgeon performed the operation on my phone and not having him around, I took his tools and did the second surgery myself. After the surgery, it wnt okay for another 1 day before going black out again. This time, after 12 hours of surgery, The verdict is out. The main artery that connects the body with the flip head was damaged. The thing is not expensive to replace but having had a phone that comes directly from Taiwan and its not a common Nokia model in Malaysia, finding spare part would be a nightmare. so, the only choice right now is to lay it to rest until the spare part can be acquired of maybe to let it became a display item in the phone museum.

May you rest in peace...
p.s.: Now, I'm oficially worthless as all my posession either died or half dead. During the writing of this post, my laptop is undergoing a serious repair after being hit with an acute virus attack, My phone is oficially dead and I am yet to find its replacement and there's a giant hole in my pocket. Right now I'm Phone-less, Laptop-less, and also broke...

Ironies in Life

As usual, my holidays will be spent at my father's office and as usual, I'll be doing errands for him like sending letters, collect cheques, send reports, and etc. One day I went upstairs to his library and saw an old report lying on the floor. I picked it up and saw the title, "Soil Investigation Report for Proposed Road Works from Kuala Kangsar to Sauk". I My Father wrote that report. Ironically, that report was the results of tests done by my father on the very road that almost claim his life. (Ive posted that in my previous entry)

Looking at the date of the report, it was written in August 1998. Exactly 10 years before that accident which occurs on August 11, 2008.

A Timid Little Boy... Part 2

At the boarding school, he learned to better himself. He learned how to project himself in public, how to be a good speaker, and how to take command of himself and command others. But, during those years, all he had learned had built a tough shell on the outside to protect the timidness inside him. He might be able to project himself well in public but deep inside him, he was just a timid little boy.

The exams came and soon he's gonna have to leave the school.

Then it was time for college. He enrolled in one of the local university to study Biology. Upon entering his first class at the university, something caught his attention. It was the sight of a tall fair and beautiful figure that happens to sit just beside him. that's the point where he know (or at least he thought) that she was the one for him. At first they were normal friends but then he started calling her and they chatted for long hours every night.

Note: Cerpen ini adalah rekaan semata-mata. Tiada kaitan dengan yang hidup atau yang telah meninggal dunia

Afraid of being frustrated again, he maintained their relationship as close friends. For three years he kept his feelings towards her a secret for fear of being heartbroken. He thought he was happy that way but never he knew how wrong he was. The truth was, that all of her friends knew about his feelings towards her and how foolish he was for not telling it. They then confronted him and said not to love her anymore for it will surely break his heart. And it did break his heart. Weeks after that, he learned that his dream girl was already taken by another guy. Upon knowing it, he cried. He cried not for losing the girl but for how he was such a loser for not telling her the truth about his feelings.

He felt useless, helpless and that he was a real loser upon knowing that the girl had waited for him too. But having waited for too long and not wanting to end up heartbroken, she resulted in accepting a guy she had met in the cafeteria.

The timid little boy was devastated. His heart was crushed into tiny pieces. He locked himself in his room and refused to eat. He cried days and nights until one windy day, he looked out of the window of his twelveth storey apartment. He opened the window and let the strong breeze in. he stood by the window, closes his eyes, he took a real deep breath and...

* * *
The residents at lower floos heard a loud thud and screams of the people. They investigated and found the timid little boy sprawled on the tarmac. The timid little boy had died. He died heartbroken...
